Brent J. Ramsey, DDS
Meet Dr. Ramsey
Dr. Brent Ramsey completed both his dental school training and oral surgery residency at the University of Southern California in 2012. In 2013, he purchased Whitney Oral & Facial Surgery and settled with his family in Virginia. As a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he has expertise in dento-alveolar surgery (including wisdom tooth removal), dental implant placement, bone grafting, jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), and all levels of anesthesia including general anesthesia and IV sedation. Dr. Ramsey has placed a special emphasis on dental implant procedures in his practice, placing thousands of dental implants during his practice career. All-on-4, multi- and single-unit implant cases are all successfully performed on a regular basis.
Originally from the Rocky Mountain state of Idaho, he and his family have come to love the Shenandoah Valley since putting down roots here in 2012. They especially enjoy the numerous outdoor activities found in the valley, and the family friendly environment. Husband to his wife, Brittany for over 15 years, and a father to their seven children, he counts his family as his most important success and endeavor.
Dr. Ramsey also enjoys participating in the AYUDA Dental Humanitarian Group. He participated in monthly local California clinics throughout dental school and in international dental missions to locations including Mexico City, Bolivia and Paraguay. Service has always been important for Dr. Ramsey; prior to dental school he went on a two year religious/community service mission to Brazil, where he became fluent in Portuguese. Dr. Ramsey also speaks Spanish, which he is always happy to do for our Spanish speaking patients.
When he is not at the office, he enjoys waterskiing at Smith Mountain Lake, hiking with the Boy Scouts (he is currently scoutmaster for his son’s troop), and working on tree-forts and other projects around the house.
